Announcing the Gospel with social attitudes...

We live in a time where the information is like the base of the Society. In dynamism without precedents, it seems like we’ve lived most intensively the words of Daniel, that says that in the last days, the knowledge would be multiplied. How can we be informed and stay as God's servants among this new generation?

Our vocation need to be connected to the cry of those who are in our days. This challenge requires from all of us, not only the knowledge of the Scriptures, but also a life that reflects the image and likeness of Jesus. Because, in a world of fake imagens, loneliness and sophisms, the Gospel of Jesus has never needed so much, in fact, being lived... Much more than just songs, much more than just words!!

Someone from about two thousand years ago, has already tried to teach that, saying that giving is really better than just receiving. And it is difficult to learn and "put on" this lession.

Considering this context, servants of God acting as helpers for that everyone who arrive sthere may develop their ministries with plenitude, it is what we look for to be here at YWAM Ponta Grossa, because for trusting those people’s communities and countries needs, nowadays, capacitation, health assistance and social justice.

Inspired on that, we have the goal to reach people and nations of the Earth with a pioneer proposal of community and sustainble development that can promote the furtherance of the potential of action present on each community, acting responsibly in the labour of people, qualifying families, promoting though, effective actions that reveal Christian attitudes.

Because of that, our ministry is marked by the dynamism, by the perseverance in front of the naturally expected difficulties when is involved with social work, and by the love, which is a basic item when we are working among needy communities. By the way, without this effort, it is not possible to act in a pro-active way within those communities.

Inspired on that, as a great vocation and dreams' factory, we also develop other activities, having in mind the awaking process of new missionaries, students and, why not saying, of ourselves either. Using a young language, recent and conected to the "teens’" preferences, we intend to be everytime developing an enviroment that everyone can live together harmonicaly in despite of their most different ways of expression and where, we, can be the "meeting point" for all those tribes.

Beyond that, as YWAM Ponta Grossa, we believe in the love of the Father, we trust in His Word and we defend the "putting on" process of the Gospel with attitudes, doing missions, in fact, showing His love by our actions, when we compromise ourselves with de social development, integrated, communitary and sustainble of those ones that are next to us.
