YWAM´s Discipleship Training School (DTS) is YWAM´s entrance door to YWAM´s mission activities. It intends to encourage Christians to have a committed Christian life, with a genuine relationship with God and daily study of God´s Word, based on basic Christian principles such as salvation, baptism in water, baptism in the Holy Spirit, living a pure lifestyle, forgiveness, fear of the Lord, healing, gifts of the Holy Spirit, evangelism, missions, intercessory prayer, and hearing the voice of the Lord. To fulfill our mission´s slogan “To know God and make Him known”, we want to work towards the development of our students and motivate them to seek spiritual growth by knowing God´s Word and the character of our God.
In the five-month DTS School (three months of lecture and two months of practical hands-on evangelism outreaches), we have guest speakers from several Christian denominations, intensive discipleship training, intercessory prayer and evangelism outreach.
At YWAM Ponta Grossa, we are focused on community development and outreach into our local city. Due to our local outreaches, four local teenagers from our social projects have been part of all our programs for the past four years. Now these
four teenagers want to go through our DTS School. During the two months of outreach phase of each DTS School, we get personally involved with people´s needs, pray with those needing salvation and work with teams from local churches.
By using outreach strategies such as evangelism, drama, discipleship, preaching, dance, juggling arts, we can share the Gospel with boldness and creativity, using visual and audio language that can be understood by any person in any culture.
Jesus said ``All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.`` (Mt 28:18-20)
So would you like to be part of our goals and outreaches? Here at YWAM, we are 100% involved with our other YWAM volunteers in reaching our local community and the world for Jesus. We are growing daily in character and being personally transformed daily into God´s workmanship and image.
Why our DTS is MIX?
We believe that the people of God is one, so the DTS MIX guys came to gather all of the Urban Tribes, with one purpose, To Know God and make Him known.
Turning Ponta Grossa and the world to announce the diversity of God's creation in our personalities, but the unity in Christ's love.
The DTS mix was born in the heart of our leader, Osvaldo Magela, God has taught us to understand the generations and what better way to reach young people with young people and their Urban Tribes.
