The Persecuted Church consists of all Christians who today live in countries where
the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is prohibited. It is formed by people who
every day are victims of abuse and sometimes even death. These brothers and sisters have suffered beatings, threats, killings, some are taken prisoner and tortured by love for the Lord Jesus.
Where is the Persecuted Church?
Most of the Persecuted Church is now located in countries of the so-called "10/40 Window."The 10/40 Window is a rectangular strip understood the parallels between 10 and 40 where nearly 97% of the least evangelized peoples of the world. The window is formed by countries of North Africa, a part of Europe and Asia.
The X-Treme Trekking Mission and the Persecuted Church
The X-Treme Trekking Mission was born from this reality, we saw the need to publicize the situation of the Persecuted Church, so that we can find out all that our brothers and sisters have suffered.
The goal of the X-Treme Trekking Mission is to make the Brazilian church aware of this reality and take it to the intercession world. Only 0.02% of the Christian church in Brazil have knowledge about the situation of the Persecuted Church and if they know it exists. This is a really dramatic, and less than 1% of the church invests in missions!
What can I do to help the Persecuted Church?
Based on the famous phrase: "Missions are done with the feet of which go under the knees of those who prays and the hands of those who contribute." We can say that there are 3 areas of expertise in missions: going, praying and helping.
Pray and seek the Lord in the 3 areas where you fit in, and ask Him what He wants from you.But one thing is true is that any of us can be an intercessor! Pray every day for the Persecuted Church around the world. His prayer will make a difference!
