
YWAM PONTA GROSSA-PR BRAZIL BASE is a place established by God for His children to develop the full potential of their gifts and ministries. YWAM Ponta Grossa-PR Brazil Base is a missionary base of Youth With A Mission (YWAM) established since January 13, 2002, in Ponta Grossa, a city in the countryside of State of Paraná, in the Southern region of Brazil and approximately 100 miles from Curitiba, Capital of Paraná, Brazil, South America.
In order to exhibit the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and to share the love of God to those around us, and to share the love of Jesus in practical ways to our local community, we saw a great need for programs in social development and health assistance. We therefore have developed the following training courses focusing on tutoring assistance for children with low performance in school; children´s and teens´ discipleship training; computer classes; vocational training; recreational activities (sports, drama, street dance, hip hop); classes to build self-esteem in children; classes to teach skills for construction work; teaching preparatory course for University Entrance Exam; arts and music workshops; providing transportation to and from medical and dental treatments; and other outreaches to our community.
YWAM Ponta Grossa Base Statistics:
We have 3,600 square meters of land, of which l,600 square meters are developed with buildings including:
- Dining hall and kitchen of 400 square meters;
- Six houses of 78 square meters each with separate housing for single male and female volunteer staff members;
- Central meeting hall for various meetings, training classes, Bible studies and computers/internet connection, and one TV with six
English speaking channels. With our wireless internet service here, your laptop computer will work anywhere on our WYAM campus.
- Storage shed of 600 square meters;
- Soccer field;
- Volleyball court;
- Two natural lakes stocked with fish;
- Vegetable gardens and fruit trees;
- Extra space to accommodate church groups, church retreats, workshops, seminars and other events with maximum capacity of 240 persons.
